Remake of white cotton blouse into daily accessories.

Decluttered a worn out cotton blouse in my wardrobe, I look at the lace, what a waste to just throw it away.

Remake One: puffy cuffs
Base use the sleeves shirring, added the front lace collar for adding a bit details.
Hand sewn loop holes for button closure. Very useful Victorian technique for home sewing even applies nowadays.

Remake Two: chain tote bag
Blouse body are resew and a chain added for handle.

Front of the bag is not documented because I got distracted by the sailor collar and completely forgot about it. The front kept the original button stand from the blouse.
Give my leftover tulle a little makeover too, since I got a lot of small pieces of fabric and little beads for embroidery. Here's what I did to utilize these material.
Leftover making: dreamy princess bow brooch & dripping jewels collar

(featuring the front of the chain tote bag)
Bow brooch (right): I cut two size of rectangles, 1 short 1 long, tried the use up as many fabric as possible.
Tie the long one in the middle around the short one, hand tack at the back to secure
Collar (left): French seam all the edges because fabric is see through and sewing has to be neat and tidy. Vertical alignment of beading to create the drippings image.

To wrap up, these are the small remake of my unwanted clothe and stock fabric. The outcomes are very decorative, as I cut and paste all the main detail from the blouse, condense it into something small, not to mentioned that lots of sparkle jewels and pearls are used. Indeed, since they are all small accessories, they are actually very easy to wear and add on outfits to make myself feel a bit of elegance.
I am already planning the next remake. More fun and relax projects for leisure weekend.
